Summary
This document outlines the user flow and information architecture for a mobile app, including onboarding and navigational flow. The onboarding process allows users to define their profile or skip setup, while the navigational flow is designed to allow users to easily define an outfit, know its cost, and locate it in stores. The goal is to provide an intuitive experience that allows users to quickly complete their purchase goals.
Defining variable driven experiences
Onboarding
Goal: Walk the user through defining their profile or to bypass setting up a profile
Onboarding with this mobile app puts the user in control of their experience. As a personal shopper, you must define your profile in order to have the most optimal experience. However, knowing that not all users wish to save that type of data we’ve also included a way to skip through the initial setup until a time when the user trusts the app a bit more.
Navigational Flow
Goal: Allow user to define an outfit, know the cost of the outfit, and locations of the outfit in an intuitive manner.
Once set up the user would only see content that was relevant to what they specified. However, they would still have the ability to get to the other areas of the app within one or two clicks. having a well defined navigational structure helps for growth and lessens the need for complex patterns. The target user wants to get in and out of the app quickly while still being able to complete the goal of purchasing the items they have defined when in the store.
